ROAD CLOSURE: The road between the A37 and Bradford Peverell will be closed between 10pm on Tuesday 2nd September and 6am on Wednesday 3rd September to allow contractors to carry out a detailed examination of the railway bridge.

WEYMOUTH SEASIDE EXPRESS: The last steam hauled 'Weymouth Seaside Express' of the summer will pass Stratton on Sunday 24th August on its way from and then back to Bristol. A photograph of 34067 'Tangmere' being pulled backwards towards Yeovil by a diesel locomotive on Sunday 17th August can be seen HERE
 
   
CREAM TEAS: The 'Friends of St Marys Church, Stratton' will be offering cream teas at the church between 2:30pm and 5:00pm on Sunday 31st August.
 
   
AUTUMN CONCERT: The annual autumn concert arranged by The Friends of St Mary's Church and performed by students of the Hardye School, Dorchester will take place on Wednesday 1st October. Further details will be provided nearer the time.

FUN FITNESS CLASSES: Fun Fitness to music classes for over (and under!) 50s starting on Tuesday 9th September for 7 sessions till 21st October. The cost of all 7 classes is £30 payable at your first class.
